A battery, comprising a battery cell (100) and a battery housing (200), wherein the battery cell (100) is disposed in the battery housing (200); the bottom of the battery housing (200) is provided with at least one trough (222) projecting beyond the bottom surface; the trough (222) is used for storing chemical substances leaked during bulging or explosion of the battery cell (100). The battery further comprises a sensing chip (400) provided in the trough (222); the sensing chip (400) further comprises a temperature sensor (410) and a pressure sensor (420). A safety hole (300) is provided on the battery housing (200). In the battery, the safety hole (300) and the anti-explosion storage trough provided at the bottom of the battery housing (200) can achieve temporary storage and buffering functions in the case of bulging or explosion of the battery cell (100). Moreover, the sensing chip (400) mounted in the anti-explosion storage trough can implement real-time detection inside the battery, thereby further ensuring the safe operation of the battery. When a battery in a battery pack is heated, hit, or short-circuited, the battery going wrong should be identified in time, so that the whole pack of high-power batteries can be protected against damages by cutting off connection of the corresponding battery by means of an external circuit in time.
