To provide a battery power supply unit, equipped with a simple and low-priced structure capable of functioning for cooling batteries during their use at normal temperatures, meanwhile, during their use at low temperatures, rapidly raising the temperatures of the batteries to a range which does not cause lowering of the battery performance level, while keeping the temperatures of the respective batteries uniform.
This battery power supply unit is equipped with a battery box 8, having the plurality of batteries 9 arranged in a connected state and housed in a battery housing chamber 10, an inlet port 11 for introducing a medium E for temperature adjustment into the housing chamber 10, a discharging port 13 for discharging the medium E from the housing chamber 10 to the exterior, a medium circulation path 17 for introducing the medium E discharged from the discharging port 13 into the inlet port 11 and causing it to flow into the housing chamber 10, and a medium moving means 19, forcibly moving the medium E.
