Abstract:

To provide a bead setter which can reduce an installation space while securing the set accuracy of beads and is small in size and light in weight.

The bead setter 1 has a bead holding member 3 holding the beads B and supplies the beads B held by the bead holding member 3 to a tire component member stuck on a molding drum. The bead holding member 3 has first, second, and third arc-shaped bodies 3a, 3b, and 3c each of which has an arcuate shape and which hold the beads B while approaching each other. The first arc-shaped body 3a is installed movably in the radial direction in a surface intersecting the axis C of the molding drum rectangularly. The second and third arc-shaped bodies 3b and 3c are installed respectively rockably in a surface intersecting the axis C of the molding drum rectangularly on the fulcrum of a rocking fulcrum 17 positioned on the outside in the radial direction of the bead holding member 3. The bead setter 1 additionally has a moving means 15 for moving the first arc-shaped body 3a and at least one rocking means 19 for rocking the second and third arc-shaped bodies 3b and 3c.
