Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a bearing device of a rotary electric machine with high reliability without regard to the dimensions of a span of a bearing, by hard-plating an inner circumferential surface of a journal box to which an outer race is contacted while interposing voids between the inner circumferential surface and an end surface of a bearing shaft. CONSTITUTION:A journal box 14 hard-plated 13 is installed onto an inner circumferential surface, to which an outer circumferential surface of an outer race 17 of a ball bearing 4 is contacted, in a bearing device at the output shaft side. Voids 8 are each mounted between a base 15 of the journal box 14 and an end surface in the axial directon of the ball bearing 4 and between a bearing cover 16 fixed to the journal box 14 and the end surface in the axial direction of the bearing 4, and function as play for the thermal expansion and contraction of a shaft 1. Thus, the bearing device of the rotary machine with high reliability can be obtained regardless of the dimensions of a span of the bearing.
