Title:
BEARING IN MOLTEN METAL AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08176771
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a bearing which is low in friction and excellent in wear resistance and is used by immersing the bearing into molten metal by allowing a PbO-contg. compd. to exist in at least a part of a sliding surface.

CONSTITUTION: The bearing used by immersing the bearing into the molten metal is formed by embedding a material 1 in which the PbO-contg. compd. exists into the sliding surface of a bearing supporting part 2. The PbO compd. is made to exist at the grain boundaries of ceramics as the sliding material. The PbO compd. is dispersed into the ceramics. The average particle size of the PbO-contg. compd. particles is specified to ≤100μm. The PbO-contg. compd. occupies at an area rate of ≥10% in the sliding surface. The PbO-contg. compd. is ≥1 kinds of PbO, dougle oxide contg. PbO and PbO-contg. glass. As a result, the bearing in molten metal is prolonged the life.
