To provide a main bearing lubricating method capable of suppressing energy consumption by enhancing recovery efficiency through the execution of optimum recovery.
A bearing lubricating method which supplies constant amount per unit time of lubricant to a bearing 2 for supporting a main shaft 1 and forcibly discharges the lubricant from the bearing 2, detects the stop time T1 from the stop of the rotation of the main shaft 1 to a restart of the rotation, and performs a primary discharge of lubricant only for set primary discharge time when the detected stop time T1 is not less than set stop time A at a restart of rotation, a secondary discharge of lubricant only for set secondary discharge time for every set elapsed time and secondary discharge only without performing the primary discharge when detected stop time T1 is less than set stop time A.
