Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently supply lubricant to each of a pair of bearings so as not only to prevent the bearings from seizing or rusting but also to greatly decrease the volume of lubricant which is to be fed between the bearings from a supply hole.
SOLUTION: In a structure for lubricating a pair of conical roller bearings 3a, 3b arranged between a stationary shaft 2 and a guide roller 1 rotatably fitted on the stationary shaft 2 and axially spaced from each other, with lubricant which is fed between the bearings 3a, 3b through a supply hole 9 formed in the stationary shaft 9, a cylindrical member 2 is loosely fitted on the stationary shaft 2 between the bearings 3a, 3b, being carried on the outer race 4 of the bearing 3b which is on the rotating side, so that it is transmitted thereto with a torque from the outer race 4, and the cylindrical member 2 has an inner surface 20a opposed to the outer peripheral surface of the stationary shaft 2 and tapered so that the inner surface 20a becomes the more remote from the outer peripheral surface of the stationary shaft 20 when it goes the more upward, having its tip end which is located in the vicinity of the upper bearing 3a.
