Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug restraining heat of a control coil from transferring to an engine head and improving strength and durability of an engine.
SOLUTION: A heating coil 21 and a control coil 22 connected to one end side of the heating coil 21 and having a positive temperature coefficient of the resistance greater than that of the heating coil 21 are included. A heater case 3 containing the heating coil 21 and the control coil 22 from a closed one end side 36 and a housing 5 holding the other end side 39 are included. The one end side 36 of the heater case 3 protrudes from an one end surface 51 of the housing 5 and is fixed. The one end side 36 of the heater case 3 has a small-diameter part 31 with a smaller diameter than that of the other end side 39, and the other end side 39 of the heater case 3 has a large-diameter part 32 with a larger diameter than that of the small-diameter part 31. The large-diameter part 32 is provided only within the housing 5 and not protrudes from the one end surface 51 of the housing 5.
