Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bearing unit for a vehicle wheel with a light weight and easy in manufacturing and assembling by integrally molding a driven portion of a shaft coupling to an inner ring, having a flange fixed to the wheel, of a rolling bearing using plastic.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical extending portion 31a projecting toward a wheel is provided on an inner race 30 and a radial projections 32, 33 are provided on the extending portion 31a. A driven portion 34 of a shaft coupling 37 is molded with plastic such that the extending portion 31a and the projections 32, 33 are embedded inside and is fixed to the inner ring 30.
