Abstract:
To prevent a grinding belt from meandering by slip resulted from the penetration of a grinding fluid between a grinding belt, and a pulley for the grinding belt and a contact roll during grinding.
This belt-type grinding device comprises the grinding belt 14 running endlessly between the pulley 13 for the grinding belt and the contact roll 12 with a grinding surface outside a press-fitting means 19 for press-fitting the grinding belt 14 to a surface of a steel plate 5 via the contact roll 12, and nozzles 20 for supplying the grinding fluid to the steel plate surface. In this device, grooves for discharging the grinding fluid are formed on external surfaces of the pulley 13 for the grinding belt and the contact roll 12.
