Abstract:

To obtain the subject beverage which can be easily and continuously drunk and is rich in nutrients and enhanced in efficacy by adding extract of sea tangle and specific additives to a mixture of four kinds of brewed vinegars and diluting them with a diluting water.

In (A) undiluted four kinds of vinegars, vinegar from unpolished rice, vinegar from apple, vinegar from persimmon and vinegar from Japanese plum, (B) a fucoidan essence contained in sea tangle as, a kind of brown alga, Phaeophyceae, is leached out, and (C) polydextrose, sodium ascorbate and a sweetener (aspartame and/or honey) are added to the fucoidan-containing vinegar mixture as additives. Then, the undiluted vinegar is diluted with (D) an alkaline water which is produced by treatment with zeolite, contains minerals and has excellent antimicrobial properties. The weight ratio of the component (A) to the component (D) is adjusted to about 1:4.
