Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonated beverage having reduced hot taste of a capsicum extract enhanced by carbonated water.SOLUTION: A carbonated beverage contains a capsicum extract and one or two or more hot taste reducing materials selected from following (a) and (b): (a) an extract of laurel, nutmeg, or Sichuan pepper; and (b) caramel. In a method for reducing the hot taste of a carbonated beverage, a carbonated beverage containing 0.001-0.1 W/V% of a capsicum extract is mixed with 0.001-0.1 W/V% of one or two or more hot taste reducing materials selected from following (a) and (b): (a) an extract of laurel, nutmeg, or Sichuan pepper; and (b) caramel.SELECTED DRAWING: None
