Abstract:

To provide a bidentate phosphorus ligand excellent in activity, selectively, thermal stability in a hydroformylation reaction.

This compound is a bidentate phosphorus compound expressed by general formula A-a. [ -Ar1-Ar2- is a bisarylene group expressed by general formulas a-I or a-II; Z1 to Z4 are each a five membered heterocycle or its condensate including one or more nitrogen atoms and having nitrogen atom bonding to phosphorus atom; R4 and R5 are each independently an alkyl group, an alkoxy, a cycloalkyl, a cycloalkoxy, a silyl or siloxy group which may contain a substituent or a halogen; R1 to R3 and R6 to R8 are each independently H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a cycloaklyl, a cycloalkoxy, a dialkyl amino, an aryl, aryloxy, an alkylaryl, an alkylaryloxy, an alkylaryloxy, arylalkyl, an arylalkoxy, cyano, hydroxy, or a halogen; R14 and R15 are each the same as the above R4 and R5; and R9 to R13 and R16 to R20 are each the same as R1 to R3 and R6 to R8)].
