Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically understand the bind condition of a metal coil.
SOLUTION: This relates to a bind check unit of a coil binder which tightly binds a hoop with a caulk metal fitting while touching a caulking head 5 to the outer peripheral face of a metal coil 1 after the hoop is wound around the outer peripheral face of the coil 1. The unit is provided on its caulk head 5 with a photo timing determinator for outputting photo timing after the passage of predetermined time after a hoop is bound with a metal fitting, lighting equipment 13a, 13b for lighting the binding caulk metal fitting and the hoop, and photographing equipment 12 for photographing the caulk metal fitting and the hoop at a photo timing outputted from the photo timing determinator. The unit is also provided with a means for determining whether the binding condition of the metal coil is good or not from the result of an image process made by image processing the image of the caulk metal fitting and the hoop photographed by the photographing equipment.
