Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing bumper structure capable of absorbing a shock even in a lower part of the bumper.
SOLUTION: In this bumper structure, a lower end part 12b of a bumper fascia 12 is attached to a synthetic resin bracket 18, while the bracket 18 is attached to a cross member 20 extending in the vehicle width direction. The front end of the bracket 18 is extended to a vehicle outside end part 12c of the lower end part 12b of the bumper fascia 12, while a rib 18d extending in the vehicle back-and-forth direction formed in the bracket 18 is extended to the front end of the bracket 18. The bracket 18 absorbs a shock to a lower part of the bumper 10.
