PURPOSE: To perform the forming and binding of round steel products with a favorable appearance, using a simple device.

CONSTITUTION: On the upstream side of a binding machine 2, a vertical width- variable roller 5 with a longitudinally movable shift mechanism in the width direction is arranged. After transferring round steel products 6 and binding the leading end parts of the round steel products 6, the round steel products are transferred on a roller table 8. At this time, the width variable roller 5 is shifted to a fixed roller 4, and the round steel products 6 are prevented from being widened in the width direction. By this method, the round steel products 6 are transferred in parallel, and the binding of the rear end parts can be performed with a favorable appearance. Therefore, an appearance correcting rate of round steel products can be reduced.
