Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a suture or a ligature softer and more transparent than a suture of legature that is coated by a conventional coating body by making the coating include a joint unit of a specified unit and a random copolymer that includes at least one joint unit chosen from among units expressed by specified plural formula.
SOLUTION: The bioabsorbable surgical suture or ligature that is coated with a coating body contains 70% to 85% of its gross weight of a joint unit for unit 1 and a random copolymer that includes at least one joint unit which is elected from among a unit II and a unit VIII as a rest of joint units. R indicates H or CH3 in the unit II, R' indicates CH3 or C2H5 in a unit V, x indicate 2-6 in the unit VII, x indicate 2-6 in the unit VIII on the condition. And, the suture or a ligature that is coated with this polymer coating body is softer and transparent than a suture that is coated by a usual coating body and dissolvable in well-known solvents, for example, aceton.
