Abstract:
To prevent a bandsaw blade from being damaged by chipping etc., enable a worker to attach the bandsaw blade safely, and omit work of removing a blade edge guard by the worker.SOLUTION: A blade edge guard 10 protects a blade edge 12t of a bandsaw blade 12 and is configured to be attached so as to house at least the blade edge 12t and removed by a removal device 20 after attachment to the bandsaw machine 18. Further, the blade edge guard 10 is formed of a water-soluble material. The water-soluble material is formed in a porous structure. Furthermore, the removal device 20 is formed by a water-soluble cutting oil supply device. The blade edge guard 10 is dissolved to be removed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
