Title:
BLOCK FOR RETAINING WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2983199
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs, to provide a large planting space, and to provide the effects of design matching the surroundings.
SOLUTION: An arched part 2 of a circular cross section and a tie part 3 extended in the form of a chord across the front surface thereof and fixed in place are made to be a separated body from each other. The tie part 3 is dented in the lateral mid portion of its surface facing the arched part 2. A rib 4 is projected from the natural ground side of the arched part 2, and vertically penetrating coupling holes 6 are formed at both the right and left ends of the arched part 2. Thus by separating the arched part 2 from the tie part 3, fabrication through flat placing of concrete is made possible, and the cost of construction can be reduced. Since the tie part 3 is fixed in place while projecting to the front surface of the arched part 2, a planting space surrounded by both increases. The rib 4 projects to the natural ground side of the arched part 3, and the effective girder height d2 of the block 1 becomes greater than the height of the arched part 3 to provide large bending strength.
