Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a blood monitoring device for correcting the dark current of an amplifier input, making possible to substantially reduce problem caused by a circumferential light by composing so that, when the oxygen saturation degree of a patient's blood under a surgery is monitored by an oximeter, the dark current is corrected on the upstream of a propositioned amplifier or a first amplifying step. CONSTITUTION: A probe 10 includes a clip 12 made to be fixed to a patient's body region such as a finger 14. In the clip 12, a red-light emitting diode(LED) 16, an infrared LED 18 and a light detector, i.e., a photo-LED 20 are installed. The LED 16 and photo-LED 20 are so arranged that a light emitted from LED 16 is permeated through the finger 14 and then caught by the photo-LED 20. LED drive, i.e., the operation of the both LED is stopped by a timing unit 26 during the time of each dark interval. Thus, the LED drive and LED emit red light and infrared rays by one after another, on the other hand, the timing unit 26 cyclically discontinues the emission of the light to form the dark interval.
