Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement bore imaging system with contactless, high-speed and high resolving power that solves the conventional problem.SOLUTION: A bore imaging system comprises: a photo detector that has a readout set of pixels; and a bore surface imaging arrangement that transmits image light from a bore surface to the photo detector. A bore surface imaging arrangement comprises a fiber bundle that includes a plurality of optical fibers having input ends that are arranged in a first shape so as to receive light that arises from an image zone and passes through a lens arrangement, and output ends that are arranged in a second shape so as to transmit the image light to the readout set of pixels, and transforms a geometric shape of an image. The output end or the readout set of pixels is configured such that at least 25% of the readout set of pixels receive the transmitted image light. Thereby, high image data rate and excellent image resolution can be provided in a borescope without using a configuration of custom-made photo detectors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
