In a boarding type toy for having a user drive a cart 1 on which the user is boarded to travel on a track 30, the cart 1 is steered by turning front wheels for drive with handle operations by the user, driven rear wheels are passively turned, and a structure that easily falls into a drift-like traveling state is attained. Point addition plates 32 and 33 are arranged on a road surface of the track 30, and when the cart 1 passes through on the point addition plates 32 and 33, a sensor senses the pass and points are added. When the cart 1 is brought into contact with a sidewall of the track 30, the sensor senses the contact and points are subtracted. The track 30 is provided with a slalom part 34, a bridge 35 that is swung sideways, a tunnel part 36 which is narrow in width and low in height, a bank 37 tilted to the right and left, an irregular bad road 38, and an upper part dangerous part 39 where luggage suspended by a crane intrudes at an upper part, as obstacles, and the skill of driving of the cart 1 is expressed as a score and ranked.
