Abstract:
To provide an iron that reduces an electric power consumption by efficiently cutting a hydrogen bond that an object to be ironed has.
An iron 10 comprises: a housing 11; an electromagnetic wave generation part 12 that radiates an electromagnetic wave having a wavelength of 5 μm or more and 3,000 μm or less; and a base 13 that transmits a part of or the whole of the electromagnetic wave. Accordingly, the iron can cut the hydrogen bond that the object to be ironed has by using the electromagnetic wave.
