PURPOSE: To provide bone defective part and void part filling calcium phosphate porous granule and a manufacture thereof which can fill up a defective part and a void part of a bone without a surgical operation and enables the whole of a filling part and the new bone to be united in one body in a short period of time.
CONSTITUTION: A calcium phosphate compound synthesized by a wet method is calcinated at 500-800°C and then ground to obtain easily sintering fine crystal with the average particle diameter of 0.01-100μm and with the specific surface area of 5-50m2/g. After that, the crystal is granulated into spherical particles of 10-100μm, and then burnt at 800-1100°C to obtain substantially spherical sintered porous granule which has the average pore size of 0.1-1.0μm, 70% or more pores having capillary communicating pores of the pore size 0.5-2.0 times as large as the average pore size, the porosity of 20-90% and the average granule diameter of 10-100μm, 5μm or less being 10% or less.
