To provide a bone model having a surface layer with excellent adhesion to a bone model body, a bone model surface material forming the surface layer with excellent adhesion to the bone model body, and a method of manufacturing them.

The bone model surface material contains aqueous gel with an average degree of polymerization of 300-3,500 and a saponification degree of 90 mol% or more, made of polyvinyl alcohol, and silica particles. The method of manufacturing the material, the bone model body and the bone model having the surface layer formed on the surface of the bone model body are provided, where the surface layer is formed of the bone model surface material containing the aqueous gel with the an average degree of polymerization of 300-3,500 and a saponification degree of 90 mol% or more, made of polyvinyl alcohol, and the silica particles.
