Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make movement of a bonnet preventable without fail, by installing a bonnet rear movement preventing device consisting of a stopper and a hook, and interlocking the engaging state release with the release operation of a bonnet lock member. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle comes into a head-on collision against another vehicular or the like, the front of a vehicular body A is subjected to buckling deformation and a bonnet 4 gets moving the rearward, a hook 2a of the bonnet movement preventing device 2 engaged with a stopper 2b turns round centering on a short shaft 2d of a support member 2c at the side of the vehicular body A whereby the engagement does not come off, thus the bonnet 4 is bent from an almost central part, preventing it surely from penetrating into a vehicular room. And, when the vehicle is bumped from the side too, the stopper 2b and the hook 2a are always engaged with each other so that the bonnet 4 is in no case floated up. When this bonnet movement preventing device 2 unlocks a bonnet lock member with operation of an opener lever inside he vehicular room at time of bonnet opening, it interlocks with this release, so, the engagement between the stopper 2b and the hook 2a is released as well. Thus bonnet movement is surely prevented from occurring.
