Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make one unit of a vehicle usable in three ways as a passenger car, a light van and a light truck, by folding the rear of a car body with rear- wheel driving force, and making it restrable. CONSTITUTION:When a driving contact wheel 3 is made contact with a rear wheel 1 by a bevel gearbox 2 from a driver's seat, a screw shaft 5 is rotated in an arrow direction with a forward movement of a flexible joint 4, while the glass pane 7 locked to a screw arm 6 gets going down from a light van form, and simultaneously the deepest shutter part 13 of a folding part roof 14 is fed to the inside of a shutter box 12 by means of engagement between an auxiliary gear 8 and a spur gear 10, whereby a folding part rear 15 is folded by a hinge 16 and a turning shaft-operated door 17 as in dotted lines (a). Next, when a selector knob 19 of the arm 6 come into contact with a stopper 20, both gears 8 and 9 are engaged with each other by a selectable parallel bar 18, and the glass pane 7 goes down to C, while the hinge 16 becomes situated in a (b) position. In this connection, at the time of using a light truck, a rear side plate 21 is made into horizontality, and then the top of loading is covered with the roof 14.
