Abstract:
To provide a book management system capable of reducing human labor greatly, specifying even an accurate place in which a book is stored, and being realized at comparatively low cost.
A bar code detection part 101c for reading bar codes for distinguishing a book on a book shelf 100 is provided to detect a position where bar codes are read by moving it vertically and to the left and right and transmit information of the bar codes and position information to a book management device 200. Information of books stored on each book shelf 100 is managed in the book management device 200 to indicate distinguishing information of the book shelf 100 on which books are stored in accordance with operator's demand.
