Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book scanner which enhances work efficiency of placing an original on an original platen by changing the configuration of an arm for supporting a digital camera and picks up an image in a flat condition regardless of the thickness or the shape of the original placed on the original platen.
SOLUTION: The book scanner is provided with: an original platen 1 for placing an original (m) thereon, the original from which images are inputted; a support arm 4 with which an arm 2 is erected upwards from the original platen 1 and a digital camera 3 is supported in its upper portion so that an imaging direction is turned toward the center of the original platen 1; and an illuminator 5 which is mounted on the upper portion of the support arm 4 so that an emission direction is turned toward the center of the original platen 1.
