Abstract:
To solve a problem that a durability of a booklet may be decreased, such as a page becoming easy to cut, if perforations are provided in a sheet when forming the booklet by folding a sheet bundle in half.SOLUTION: When automatic perforation is selected (S7; YES), a determination is made on whether or not the booklet is easy to open and whether or not a fear of a decrease in quality of the booklet is high (S9, S10), based on the number of sheets in the sheet bundle, a product of a basis weight, etc. The perforations are formed (S11) in the sheet only when the fear of the decrease in quality is high (YES) based on the above product, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
