Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet feeder capable of setting stacked booklets to a booklet setting part, and feeding the booklets to a booklet printer in a constant direction.SOLUTION: A booklet feeder 21 includes a booklet setting part 22, detection means 23, and booklet extraction means 24. The booklet setting part 22 is a portion where booklets 25 to be printed are set in a direction in which the booklets 25 are alternately stacked. The detection means 23 is to detect the direction of the booklet 25a present in the head position of the booklets 25 set in the booklet setting part 22. The booklet extraction means 24 is to extract the booklet 25a present in the head position, rotates the booklet 25a into a desired direction if the detection means 23 has detected the booklet 25a being directed opposite to the desired direction, and thereafter moves the booklet 25a to a booklet opening part 26, located on a preceding stage of a downstream booklet printer 27, in a direction shown in an arrow 29, and supplying the booklet 25a.
