To provide a bookrest which is used in various forms, easily operated, and inexpensively manufactured.

The bookrest includes: a mount board for supporting a book; a holding board part for supporting the lower end of the book; and page pushers arranged in the holding board part, so as to hold the lower end of the book. The inclination angle of the mount board is freely adjustable. Recessed parts are formed in middle parts at both the sides of the mount board. A pair of flexible page pushers made of a wire material are freely turnably attached to the lower ends of the mount board via tubular materials. The erection of the mount board is held at a center part on the rear surface of the mount board. A support rod for adjusting the inclination angle is freely turnably attached via a reception part.
