To provide a boom apparatus for a concrete pump vehicle, which can increase a height of erection and extension of a boom mechanism at a low cost, without changing the specification of the main body of the concrete pump vehicle.
The boom apparatus is comprised of the boom mechanism, a driving mechanism, a boom attached to the tip of the boom mechanism, pipelines, and a control means. The boom mechanism includes a plurality of stages of booms connected to each other in a manner being capable of derricking, wherein the first-stage boom is set to the concrete pump vehicle main body in a manner being capable of derricking. The driving mechanism derricks the booms in the respective stages. The boom attached to the tip of the boom mechanism is slidably arranged on the last-stage boom of the boom mechanism so as to advance from and withdraw toward the last-stage boom. The pipelines are attached to the booms in the respective stages of the boom mechanism and the boom attached to the tip, for conveying concrete. The control means restricts an elevation angle of each boom of the boom mechanism to a range in which the boom mechanism is not tumbled, when the boom attached to the tip advances from the last-stage arm and all the booms assume an erected position.
