Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable an expansion turbine to be used at a high expansion ratio by decreasing a thrust load in the emergency stop of a turbine runner, even if a normal thrust bearing is used.
CONSTITUTION: An introducing port 51 for compressed gas and a discharging port 52 for expanded gas generated by the adiabatic expansion of the compressed gas are provided on a turbine casing 21, and a turbine runner 31 driven by expanded gas generated by adiabatic expansion of the compressed gas is provided in the turbine casing 21. An impeller 32 for boosting supplied fluid is provided in a booster casing 22. Moreover, in a booster integrated expansion turbine 1 formed by connecting the turbine runner 31 and the impeller 32 integratedly to the same rotary shaft 4, an emergency shut-off valve that closes when the turbine runner 31 is emergently stopped is provided in a discharging port 52 for expansion gas in the turbine casing 21.
