Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a brake against seizure by stopping a brake dynamometer if the output from a torque meter or the hydraulic pressure of brake exceeds an allowable level at the time of the brake off, thereby suppressing the inaccurate brake test.
SOLUTION: A comparator 19 produces an output when the output from a torque meter 5 exceeds a level set by an allowable level setter 18 and a comparator 21 produces and output when the hydraulic pressure of brake detected by a pressure detector 14 exceeds an allowable level being set by an allowable level setter 20 at the time of the brake off. An AND circuit 23 receives outputs from the comarators 19, 21 and a brake-off detector 22 and judges that the zero point has shifted when the output from the meter 5 or the hydraulic pressure of brake exceeds an allowable level in the brake off state. Subsequently, a stop signal is delivered in order to stop the operation of the brake dynamometer.
