Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a fail-safe function, by which sufficient braking force can be generated in case of a malfunction of an operation force sensor, in a brake fluid pressure controller provided with a function controlling a brake fluid pressure on the basis of a detection value of the operation force sensor.
SOLUTION: When a PW/C sensor 30 is in a normal condition, Fr linear valves 58, 66 and Rr linear valves 60, 68 are connected wheel cylinders 82, 88, 110, 116, while the Fr linear valves 58, 66 and the Rr linear valves 60, 68 are controlled on the basis of a detection value PF of the PW/C sensor 30. If the PW/C sensor 30 is in an abnormal condition, a fluid pressure source for the wheel cylinders 82, 88 is changed to a master cylinder 14, while the Rr liner valves 60, 68 are controlled on the basis of the detection value PF of a PF sensor 74 arranged in a front fluid pressure circuit 72.
