PURPOSE: To simplify a brake lever lock mechanism by protruding a locking member by key operation in the state where a brake lever is rotated to brake operating time position, and engagingly locking the locking member to the locking part of the brake lever.

CONSTITUTION: To lock a brake lever 5 provided in a handle bar 1 for motorcycle, a key is inserted to the key hole 11a of a protruding and recessing mechanism 11, and the brake lever 5 is gripped to bring a brake device 6 into operating state. Then, the locking part 5b of the brake lever 5 is rotated frontward to locate the locking hole 5c below the locking rod 10 of the protruding and recessing mechanism 11. When the key is rotated to a lock position L in this state, the locking rod 10 is protruded downward and inserted into the locking hole 5c, whereby the brake lever 5 is locked in brake operating time position.
