PURPOSE: To load a large quantity of storage batteries by disposing a motor in the upper position of a rear fork which position overlaps with a vertical line touching the front end of a rear wheel in a one in which the motor is connected to the rear wheel through a belt to drive the rear wheel.
CONSTITUTION: In this electric scooter, a vehicle body frame is formed by fixing an obliquely downward down tube 18 fixed to a head pipe 17 to a side member 20 horizontal to the lower end of an obliquely downward sub-tube 19 fixed to a seat frame 14, and storage batteries 12 are loaded between two side members 20 on both sides. A rear wheel 2 is installed to the rear end part of a rear fork 5 having the front end supported to the bracket 21 of the lower part of the sub-tube 19 by a pin 22. A motor 1 is disposed in the upper position of the rear fork 5 which position overlaps with a vertical line touching the front end of the rear wheel 2, whereby the center of gravity of the scooter is lowered to increase the battery quantity possible to load.
