Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize electric power for brake release and enable a vehicle to be reliably stopped at the time of power loss.SOLUTION: A brake system 28 comprises: a brake mechanism which can take a lock state in which the rotation of a wheel is locked and an unlock state; a motor 50 for switching the lock state and the unlock state; a main power source 14 for supplying power to the motor 50; a standby power source 26 capable of supplying power to the motor 50; a brake control part 22A for switching the brake mechanism to the unlock state by driving the motor by the power supplied from the main power source 14 at a start and, if the power supply from the main power source 14 is lost, driving the motor 50 by the power supplied from the standby power source 26 to switch the brake mechanism to the lock state; and a brake handle capable of switching between the lock state and the unlock state of the brake mechanism manually.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
