Title:
BRAKING CONTROL DEVICE FOR INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3460682
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively shorten the braking distance by braking an opposite wheel in longitudinal direction from a driving wheel if anti-slip control for the driving wheel is not effective for shortening the braking distance when the driving wheel is braked under the condition that a work device is reducing the wheel load of the driving wheel.
SOLUTION: If an accelerator lever 22 is switch-backed, a travelling motor 19 is exercised regenerative braking by a controller 40 for braking a driving wheel 12. A micro computer 50 detects the slipping velocity (slipping amount against the ground) based on the signal from the rotation frequency sensors 44, 45. If the slipping velocity exceeds the threshold value, traction control is exercised so that the driving wheel is controlled of slipping. While this traction control is exercised, the micro computer 50 activates an auxiliary brake system 16 by controlling the electric current value of a linear solenoid operated valve 35 in a brake control valve unit 33 so as to impart the auxiliary braking force to the front wheels 11, 11.
