Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a saddle type off-road running vehicle in which the braking device is protected by simple structure without using a guard member.
SOLUTION: A four wheel buggy 1 having wheels at both ends of an axle 39 disposed at a tip of a rear swing arm 32 pivotally supported to be capable of vertically rocking by a vehicle frame. The braking device 40 is disposed above the axle 39. The braking device 40 is a mechanical braking device having: a brake drum 47 and a brake shoe 47 for braking rotations of a rear wheel 4; a brake can lever 50 for operating them; and a rear brake operating cable 52 for operating the brake cam lever 50. A projecting portion 60 is disposed integrally with the brake cam lever 50 below a connecting portion of the brake cam lever with the rear brake operating cable 52 so that the projecting portion protects the connecting portion from under the connecting portion.
