Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking force control device for a hybrid vehicle in which braking force without providing any sense of incongruity even when regenerative braking is impossible.
SOLUTION: By a braking force control means 80, braking torque by a wheel brake 66 of favorable responsiveness is temporarily generated instead of regenerative braking torque by a motor generator 14 when it is determined that regenerative braking becomes impossible by a regenerative braking impossible determination means 76, and a down-shift of an automatic transmission 18 is then executed to generate braking torque by the down-shift, so the braking torque of a similar size to that of regenerative braking force is generated as a substitute, and that the braking torque is reduced as car speed or engine rotation speed is reduced to provide braking force without having a sense of incongruity even when regenerative braking becomes impossible. Compared with a case where the braking force as the substitute for the regenerative braking force is generated only by the wheel brake 66, its durability is improved.
