Title:
BRAKING FORCE CONTROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3777525
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking force controller which can secure braking force properly even at fault of a controller or a motor driver.
SOLUTION: An normally open contact part 8a by the excitation of an exciting coil 8b and a converting circuit 9 are interposed in series between a stepping force sensor 6 and each motor driver 4. The converting circuit 9 converts the stepping force detected by the stepping force sensor 6 into command signals (torque command voltages VFL, VFR, VRL, and VRR for a left fore wheel, a right wheel, a left wheel, and a right abt wheel). The watch dog circuit of a controller 7 stops the current application to the exciting coil 8b in case that the controller 7 goes wrong. In case that the controller 7 has gone wrong, the contact 8a is closed, and the converting circuit 9 converts the detection result of the stepping force sensor 6 into a command signal, and outputs it to the motor driver 4 so the braking force can be secured by driving the motor 2 even at fault of the controller 7, and the reliability on a drive brake can be improved in its turn.
