Abstract:
To improve the performance of a brazing plate type heat exchanger by uniformizing the distribution of refrigerant solution into refrigerant passages.
In a brazing plate type heat exchanger, used as an evaporator in which refrigerant is conducted to flow from the lower part to the upper part of the same, a static mixer 8 is provided in a refrigerant inlet port to conduct gas and liquid to flow into refrigerant passages R after mixing the gas into the liquid. The gas and liquid are mixed by the static mixer 8 and, thereafter, are guided into respective refrigerant passages R whereby bubbles are changed into small bubbles and uniform flow for respective refrigerant passages is generated.
