Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a breakage and bending detecting device for a band saw blade, which is simple in its structure and can be executed at a low cost and which enables high accuracy detection.
CONSTITUTION: A detecting breakage and bending device for a band saw blade comprises a distorsion detecting plate 10, one end of which is fitted to a support member 9, a distorsion detecting contact 1 2 which is-provided on the free end of the distorsion detecting plate 10 and includes a contact part 18a brought into contact with the side of a band saw blade 1, and distorsion detecting sensors 11a, 11b installed on the side in the intermediate position in the longitudinal direction of the distorsion detecting plate 10 for detecting distorsion of the distorsion detecting plate 10 due to breakage and bending of the band saw blade 1.
