PURPOSE: To obtain fine building decorative material of high luster by reinforcing it with fiber-reinforced material subjected to surface treatment by a copolymer of alkyl ester containing acryl or methacrylic acid and a styrene group compound.
CONSTITUTION: Unburned building decortive material made of cement is reinforced by fiber-reinforced material subjected to surface treatment by a copolymer of alkyl ester containing acrylic or methacrylic acid and a styrene group compound. The alkyl part of the alkyl ester is to contain 4-12 carbon atoms or desirably to be 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate, and it is desirable that the copolymerization ratio of alkyl ester to the styrene group compound is 70:30-30:70. The cement is to contain cement admixture formed of calcium chloride as a main component and iron salt, potassium salt, ammonium salt, and the like as auxiliary components. The weight ratio of cement to water is to be approximately 1:0.3-1:6, and the weight ratio of cement admixture to water is to be approximately 1:5-1:40. The mixing time is to be about 2 to 20 minutes, and it is desirable that the curing temperature is 1-10°C.
