To provide a bundling appliance for optical cables which lessens the damage of these optical cables.
This appliance comprises an elastic body 11, first grooves 16 which are formed at a prescribed depth from the front surface of this elastic body 11 and at least one second grooves 17 which are branched and formed from the first grooves 16 in a direction different from the depth direction of the first grooves 16. The many grooves are formed in such a manner and the optical cables are dividedly housed in the respective grooves. The bundling work of the optical cables is, therefore, simplified; for example, the need for the work to bundle the optical cables is eliminated. In addition, the exertion on inadvertent force on the optical cables does not occur any more and the damage of the optical cables is lessened. Since the optical cables are covered by the elastic body, the optical cables may be protected. In addition, a smaller installation space is necessitated and a cost is reduced.
