Abstract:

To provide an underwater cable capable of easily suppressing deterioration by influx water.

This cable is composed by coating a conductor formed by collecting metal element wires with a plastic insulation layer, and is provided with a chemical injecting passage at the conductor center part. In this cable, the chemical injecting passage of the cable is formed with a hollow tube having a through-hole on a sidewall, and the conductor is formed by arranging the metal element wires around the hollow tube. In the cable, a chemical for moisture deterioration measures of the insulation layer is injected through the chemical injecting passage of the cable.
