Abstract:
To provide a cable capable of detecting a transmission direction of an image signal and carrying out processing according to the detected transmission direction of the image signal.
The cable 1 includes a first plug 2, a second plug 5, a voltage application wire, a first transmission line, a second transmission line, a first line switching unit 27, a second line switching unit 37 and a control part. The control part detects the transmission direction of the image signal between the first plug 2 and the second plug 5, and controls the first and second line switching units 27, 37 according to the detected transmission direction to connect the first plug to the second plug by one of the first and second transmission lines.
