Abstract:
The invention generally relates to the technical field of soap manufacture, and in particular, to a device for forming and transporting cakes of soap and the like, which forms and transports such cakes of soap at a high rate, as well as efficiently and accurately. The device comprises a rotor (5) including, at diametrically opposed locations with respect to its axis of rotation, soap cake forming means (9, 10) in communication with suction means, said rotor (5) having on opposite sides thereof antagonistic means (17) adapted to cooperate in the formation of soap cakes (3) from a soap blank (4), and means (15) for removing the formed soap cakes as conveyed by said rotor (5), said removing means being also in communication with the suction means.
